Exploring and fostering space for NGOs to add value in large-scale operational models for humanitarian cash transfer programs

Thanks to a morning closed session it will be an opportunity for NGOs to exchange views on the recent development linked to cash-based approach in the humanitarian sector. In the afternoon session, key stakeholders including donors will join the group and discussions will aim at clarifying the role and added value of NGOs in cash-based programmes of significant scale.

Cash Week 2018
This week of events will provide opportunities for: • Networking and collaboration beyond the usual suspects, and an opportunity to understand CaLP's governance and shape its future direction; • Learning more about some of the key topics in cash, advancing crucial debates around tracking cash and delivering digital payments responsibly; • Visioning the future of financial assistance to meet humanitarian needs. Cash Week 2018 will build on progress since CaLP’s State of the World’s Cash report and the Grand Bargain Cash Workstream meetings.
Through a combination of public, CaLP member only and invite only workshops and discussions, Cash Week 2018 will provide a space to strengthen synergies between members, foster new connections, and collectively shape the future.

Due to venue limitations, the total number of participants in the meeting is restricted. Participants in the workstream are therefore kindly requested to nominate one representative per organisation, in order to ensure enough space to represent fairly all participating organisations. Extra spaces are available and can be allocated based on a strong justification – agencies are kindly requested to send a justification if an extra participant is nominated.
